Last month’s winner of Moreton Bay’s citizen of the Year, Elisha Wright, is
someone I consider a dear friend. Unfortunately, she has been having a rough
time recently, despite winning a prestigious award. When I read her blog, I 27 DEAR ALICE
knew her message needed to be spread far and wide in our community. This
particular statement in her story really struck a nerve with me, “As a community 28 PUZZLES
we can do better. People with disabilities have a wealth of knowledge. It’s time
to start paying them for that. Awards are great but they don’t put food on the 29 TRADES & SERVICES
