Activate!
The State Government suppo rts regular participation in physical activity, by reducing the cost for children and young people
from low income families.
Affordability is a key driver to participation in physical activity. FairPlay is a program aimed at breaking down financial barriers
to participation at the grassroots level. The program provides subsidies to support families, children and young people who
need it most to participate in physical activity.
This initiative will help level the playing field to ensure all Queenslanders are empowered to participate in activities they enjoy.
Parents, carers or guardians can apply for a voucher valued up to $150 for their child or young person. These vouchers can
be used towards the cost of membership, registration and/or participation fees for eligible activities with registered physical
activity providers.
FairPlay will replace the Get Started Vouchers program.
Applications will be available in 2 rounds per year from July 2019. Round 1 of FairPlay will open for applications on 31 July 2019.
