Dear Readers, CONTENTS

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the gorgeous Mum’s and
Grandma’s in our community! I would like to take this
opportunity to sing the praises of my Mum, who is not 4
only the best Mum I could’ve ever asked for but also MICRO NEWS
the most amazing, loving and supportive Grandma to
my four boys. 6 SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME
This month, I spoke with a local Mum whose daughter
is a survivor of Shaken Baby Syndrome. The hardships 10 MEET THE CANDIDATES
this family face are simply heartbreaking. If you are
able, a donation would mean the world to her and would go a long way to help 11 USC UNI UPDATE

me in a time when single Mum’s weren’t as widely 22 RECIPES
