November, Simon Bennett (Manager of Council’s Integrated
Transport Planning Department) outlined general concept plans
for these projects with Councillor Julie Greer. It was confirmed
that they are included on Council’s Capital Works Plans for
delivery by 2022/23.
Simon Bennett further advised that the Department of Transport
and Main Roads (TMR) is the approving authority for the
connection of Lamington Road onto Anzac Aveue. These works
will be required to cater for a significant load of vehicle traffic
when completed (sufficient capacity for right hand turn lanes,
as one example).
When completed, residents from the North West of the Village
can access Anzac Avenue via the roundabout on Kinsellas
Road West and Lamington Road, when travelling to and from
Capestone to access the Schools, railway, etc., or to travel
Redcliffe via Rothwell.
Whilst the Mango Hill Progress Association applauds Council in
its efforts to implement both projects, it strongly recommends
