A Community Message from Peter Dutton

This election you will be faced with a decision about the future of our country. Scott Morrison has
a plan to manage the economy well so we can continue funding health and education at record
levels and deliver tax cuts to help families and small businesses.

Bill Shorten is proposing $387 billion of new taxes in addition to an economy wide carbon tax
which will drive up cost of living expenses including prices of electricity and petrol.

Locally, Kirilly and I have raised our children in Camp Mountain and have lived in the Dickson
electorate for a very long time.

This is a great place to live, work and raise a family. But our area is growing rapidly, and we need
to invest in roads, car parks and other local infrastructure to cater for the needs of local families.

That’s why I have been fighting so hard to improve roads and transport links right across
our region.

Keeping the economy strong is the best way to secure your future. Creating jobs, reducing taxes,
lowering your cost of living and increasing investment in hospitals and schools can only be done
because of good economic management.

The Morrison Government has been successful in protecting our borders and keeping us safe.

As Minister for Home Affairs, I am honoured to have played a part in this.

I am proud of the many local initiatives I have achieved funding for in our area including:

• Building a new Headspace facility in Strathpine to support our young people
• Duplicating Linkfield Road Overpass
• Delivering the missing On/Off ramps at Dohles Rocks Road
• Protecting our environment
• Eliminating mobile black spots
• Flood proofing Youngs Crossing
